A arte aborda uma forma de definir o conceito de paisagem, que cruza várias definições em relação ao ambiente tóxico que vivemos. Para a artista, as dificuldades enfrentadas pelo perfeccionismo e pela insistência da sociedade em nos definir em padrões cria para nós essa casca impenetrável, o qual sob essa camada está nosso ser, que clama por liberdade.
The art approaches a way of defining the concept of landscape, which crosses several definitions in relation to the toxic environment in which we live. For the artist, the difficulties faced by perfectionism and society's insistence on defining standards create for us this impenetrable shell, which under this layer is our being, which cries out for freedom.

Realização da Plataforma Prof Dez, Entre os palestrantes do terceiro dia do II Congresso EducaOn (28 de abril de 2021, 19h-22h) estava Dr. Abelardo Bastos, que pediu autorização da artista para utilizar a obra em sua analogia sobre saúde mental, debilitada durante todo o período pandêmico. Uma análise foi feita pelo mesmo, sobre o formato do vírus e os espetos dos alfinetes, assim como a agonia mostrada pela artista na fotografia com o desespero que assola a população na pandemia. Among the speakers on the third day of the II EducaOn Congress (April 28, 2021, 19:00-22:00) was Dr. Abelardo Bastos, who asked the artist's permission to use the work in his analogy on mental health, debilitated throughout the pandemic period. An analysis was made by him, on the shape of the virus and the skewers of the pins, as well as the agony shown by the artist in the photograph with the despair that devastates the population in the pandemic. A obra também foi postada em 8 de julho de 2021 no canal @escuta.teucorpo gerenciado por Priscila Schnorr, terapeuta holística de Santa Catarina. Ela referia seu texto em anexo ao trabalho da artista a uma pártica que envolve esse movimento de por a cabeça para cima e abrir a boca. Durante o texto, ela menciona a angústia transmitida no trabalho como uma nova analogia ao que seria essa paisagem de sufoco:
"Boca resseca, vontade de parar.
Tá desconfortável, deve estar errado.
Errado foi o grito que te fizeram engolir. O choro que te calaram.
Todo adulto se estressa quando uma criança por perto começa a chorar.
Logo faz de tudo pra calar o choro: tenta dar comida, manda ficar quietinha, implora pra Deus pra que a criança pare de fazer fiasco.
E o teu choro ali, engasgou.
Sinto muito. Por todas nós.
Bola pra frente desengasgar esse canal de comunicação do teu coração com o mundo exterior.
Limpa. Destrava. Permite. Confia. Entrega."

The work was also posted on July 8, 2021 on the channel @escuta.teucorpo managed by Priscila Schnorr, holistic therapist from Santa Catarina. She referred her text attached to the artist's work to a practice that involves this movement of putting your head up and opening your mouth. During the text, she mentions the anguish transmitted in the work as a new analogy to what this suffocation landscape would be:
"Mouth dry, desire to stop.
It's uncomfortable, it must be wrong.
Wrong was the scream that made you swallow. The crying that shut you up.
Every adult gets stressed when a child nearby starts to cry.
Then he does everything to stop the crying: he tries to give food, tells him to be quiet, begs God for a child to stop tarntums.
And your crying there, choked.
I am really sorry. For all of us.
Go ahead, choke off this channel of communication between your heart and the outside world.

É inegável que os dois últimos anos (2020 e 2021) foram um período de provação para todos nós. Enfrentamos um sofrimento que parecia não ter fim, uma pandemia onde um vírus mortal destruiu milhões de família, um governo pronto para destruir a pouca esperança que nos restou e um completo declínio financeiro para os trabalhadores da cultura. Ainda estamos enfrentando essas situações, mas tivemos pequenos rompantes de esperança com a chegada das vacinas, com a aproximação das eleições (onde poderemos ver uma estrela brilhar novamente) e com projetos fomentados pela Lei Aldir Blanc.
A Revista Desvio sobrevive e resiste, aos trancos e barrancos, estamos aqui. Em 2020 não realizamos o nosso já consagrado evento PEGA – Encontro de Graduações em Artes, nem mesmo uma versão adaptada para o virtual, como fizeram diversos projetos. É necessário admitir que não tínhamos condições para produzir o evento, ninguém estava bem para isso. Em 2021, decidimos experimentar e reavivar esse evento tão importante para os jovens artistas, pesquisadores e curadores. Surge então, em parceria com a Galeria Bambo, o IV PEGA Experimental – Edição Virtual, o primeiro PEGA 100% online a ser realizado dentro dos moldes de arte digital e cryptoarte.
É importante salientar que, por ser um evento online e experimental, entendemos que esse tipo de abordagem poderia não ter muita adesão, mas ficamos positivamente surpresos com um considerável número de propostas artísticas e acadêmicas, acima da média esperada. Estamos felizes em poder retornar com o PEGA e apresentar os quatro eixos curatoriais presentes em nossa exposição. O primeiro, com curadoria de Clarisse Gonçalves, contará com a participação dos artistas Bia Gonçalves, Julia Esquerdo, Helmo Santos e Igor Affonso. O segundo eixo recebe curadoria de Mateus Alves e é construído junto com os artistas Sema, Ana Bia Novais e Monique Huerta. O terceiro eixo é realizado com curadoria de João Paulo Ovidio e conta com os artistas Bianca Araújo, Rodrigo Pinheiro e Juliana Pacini Pena. Finalmente o último eixo recebe curadoria de Natália Candido e abarca as artistas Marcela Bautista Nunes, Sara Matos de Souza e Julia da Luz Saldanha. A coordenação e curadoria geral é realizada por Gabriela Lúcio e João Paulo Ovidio, com participação da Galeria Bambo, representada por Ana Noronha. Aproveitem conosco essa nova experiência.
It is undeniable that the last two years (2020 and 2021) have been a testing period for all of us. We faced suffering that seemed to have no end, a pandemic where a deadly virus destroyed millions of families, a government ready to destroy what little hope we had left, and a complete financial decline for culture workers. We are still facing these situations, but we had small bursts of hope with the arrival of vaccines, with the elections approaching (where we will be able to see a star shine again) and with projects promoted by the Aldir Blanc Act.
Revista Desvio survives and resists, by leaps and bounds, we are here. In 2020, we did not hold our already renowned event PEGA – Meeting of Graduations in Arts, not even a version adapted for virtual, as several projects have done. It is necessary to admit that we did not have conditions to produce the event, nobody was ready for that. In 2021, we decided to experiment and revive this important event for young artists, researchers and curators. Then, in partnership with Galeria Bambo, the IV PEGA Experimental – Virtual Edition appears, the first PEGA 100% online to be carried out within the molds of digital art and cryptoart.
It is important to point out that, as it is an online and experimental event, we understand that this type of approach might not have much adherence, but we were positively surprised with a considerable number of artistic and academic proposals, above the expected average. We are happy to be able to return with PEGA and present the four curatorial axes present in our exhibition. The first, curated by Clarisse Gonçalves, will feature artists Bia Gonçalves, Julia Esquerdo, Helmo Santos and Igor Affonso. The second axis is curated by Mateus Alves and was built together with the artists Sema, Ana Bia Novais and Monique Huerta. The third axis is curated by João Paulo Ovidio and features artists Bianca Araújo, Rodrigo Pinheiro and Juliana Pacini Pena. Finally, the last axis is curated by Natália Candido and includes artists Marcela Bautista Nunes, Sara Matos de Souza and Julia da Luz Saldanha. The overall coordination and curatorship is carried out by Gabriela Lúcio and João Paulo Ovidio, with the participation of Galeria Bambo, represented by Ana Noronha. De 06 até 12 de março de 2023, na EURART Gallery, houve a exposição “A Arte da Imagem”, com artistas de todo o Brasil. Nela, foram apresentadas fotografias, artes digitais e obras audiovisuais. O local do evento foi realizado na Rua do Salgueiro, 33, Marinha Grande, Leiria, Portugal.
From the 6th to the 12th of March 2023, at the EURART Gallery, there was the exhibition “The Art of the Image”, with artists from all over Brazil. In it, photographs, digital arts and audiovisual works were presented. The venue for the event was at Rua do Salgueiro, 33, Marinha Grande, Leiria, Portugal.
